Granita and Slushy

It’s summer!!! Australia is one of those rare places that actually enjoy sunshine. Not just because Christmas comes around this time, but also for a fact that we Australians love the sun. Leaving the New Zealanders seems like a bad idea, so I’m letting them in too. Christmas is sunny, fine; What next? It’s the season for soft drinks, ice creams and frozen yogurts. I could almost feel that I’m missing something. Well, of course; no summer passes without a gulp of frozen icy chips going down the throat. Granita and Slushy are the two siblings that actually made their mark before any other product were even thought.

Coming to Granita:

Seems like Sicily isn’t just famous for The Godfather movie, if you haven’t guessed it yetsurprise ‘The birth place of Granita is Sicily too’!!! Things just get better when it is Italian. They take the world of eatery and mafia to a whole new level. Like classics, granita will always have a respectable place in the world of frozen desserts and treats.

Food critiques may relate many products with the heath factor, criticizing it either as a benefit or as mischief. But let it be anything, granita has always been a favourite when it comes to such critiques. The content involved in the making and the fine crystalline structure, no matter how vary they seem from place to place, makes this dish an excellent frozen treat.

Now to slushy:

The other sibling, who was later born, not in Sicily, but America is years younger to Granita. Hence the fancy name. The one thing that kills the buzz is that we just can’t have enough of it. Every time I take an extra bite, I hear my mom staring fires at me. That’s rude, I know, but it has a reason. The younger sibling is too naughty and when a lot is taken in, the after effects are quiet bad. It’s the colors that excite the customers and without denying it any further they jump on the line to have one.

The current age we are living in is precious. It always finds a way to improvise on things that people think to be harmful. Though when Slushy and Granita are taken at large affect the health. With the mixes for Granita and Slush available to the wide market, now all could enjoy a bit more of what they love.
